09/07/2024 @d1ffch: jokes aside, pre-beta 1.8 minecraft is fucking perfect for some creepy shit. night lighting system, world generation, low render distance (the fog is coming). hats off to Notch for accidentaly making a simple looking peaceful game a potentialy good horror
edit: glitch effects kinda break the immersion thing but that might just be me. those null and entity 303 videos in 2014-15 ruined it
