Although the OG Borderlands released back in 2009, the wallpaper used is for the Game of the Year Enhanced Edition which was released in 2019. Either time travel is part of this series or a little oopsie occurred.

For example, TheNick56 is telling a Minecraft horror story. They tell this story by posting videos on Youtube as if they actually happened. In doing this, it makes it feel "realistic" even if it's fictional.
