Minecraft PSX - RAW ARCHIVE FOOTAGE [4] - 26-01-24
My girlfriend recently decided to join the Archival effort by recording her experience of the game running on the ePSXe - Enhanced PSX Emulator, oddly enough the only PSX Emulator that can run Minecraft PSX
Here are her experiences.
"Minecraft Playstation Edition" is a game developed by Mojang Studios in the Year 1998 in a partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment for the Playstation Console released in 1994, this game was a pre-cursor to the classic 'Minecraft' of 2009, although not many people are aware of it due to it being pulled from store shelves just a year after release with only a 1000 or so copies ever being sold, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a copy at a retro game store about a month ago, here's my experience with the title.
If you'd like to play the game yourself via emulation here's a link to a rom to download as finding a physical copy like myself is nearly impossible to do: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/mcsx-minecraft-ps1-edition
Thanks to xKazIsKooIx for ripping the game files to allow others to play the game
Any help to learn more about the game would be appreciated as I'm still learning about it myself and plan to continue my exploration into the title more on this channel

02/05/2024 @michaelhunt6920: At one point the door opened by itself but it seemed mellow this time. I wonder if what's his name is special somehow. Or more susceptible perhaps.
04/05/2024 @dachemistofx1667: @michaelhunt6920 from the description, there are two different people recording gameplay
One by the original uploader, the other by the channel owners girlfriend, since strange things still happen, maybe she isn’t as jumpy as the first one? Or prehaps since the music tracks contain Morse code talking about him, he could be special in some way.
02/05/2024 @Garden0flowr: I know this version of the game is spooky, but seeing the house building in each gameplay video is nice
02/05/2024 @MrZilvis78: lol before this episode I have been quietly laughing each time because I know Minecraft players and viewers are like 95% ocd monsters about things being even or completed and the partial wall all this time plus even the roof being open was likely so triggering haha. When I did youtube and twitch ages ago or I post occasional builds online I tend to purposely build chaotically simply for the reactions.
02/05/2024 @CDSide: thank you for documenting this video, i never would have known this version exists!!!!! /j
09/05/2024 @KefkeWren: cat's version of the game continues to be less anomalous than 1998's, but still not anomaly-free.
02/05/2024 @RobloxIsAverage: underrated af
02/05/2024 @michaelhunt6920: ePSXe? Ugh back to the old days. Back when playstation emulation wasn't the best thing ever. Surprised it even runs the way it does.
02/05/2024 @xKazIsKoolx: What emulator do you use?
02/05/2024 @michaelhunt6920: @xKazIsKoolx Duckstation is the most accurate emulator rn. You can also change stuff like removing texture warping and widescreen. That's my legitimate answer. As for the immersive answer for the ARG. Idk if anything else would work. Too afraid to play it.
02/05/2024 @that-nerdy-kid111: no anomalies this episode
09/05/2024 @KefkeWren: Door opened by itself.
02/05/2024 @typicalgentleman: How common are copies of the game? I would love to have a physical one.
02/05/2024 @francotherox5853: someone plz i need a tutorial how to install this mod
