12/15/2024 @HollowYves: Patrick Page was the PERFECT casting for Satan. His voice is so sinister even when he's being more lighthearted.
12/15/2024 @cathrinebase9442: Truer words have never been spoken
Also, if I was given a nickel every time Patrick Page played a role of Underworld/Hell ruler I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but weird that it happened twice (if I'm not mistaken)
12/15/2024 @lunarrose1244: He played Hades, God, and now Satan.
What Deity do u think he'll play next?
12/15/2024 @HollowYves: @cathrinebase9442 he was also Frolo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame(the musical), and killed it in at, too. He puts so much passion into every role he does.
12/15/2024 @YajimaAna: @HollowYves He was so good as Frollo!! Everyone needs to hear his version of Hellfire
12/15/2024 @blah7983: @cathrinebase9442 Vivzie typecasts a little bit when it comes to these roles. Beetlejuice and Fizz have a lot of similarities too
12/15/2024 @SierraSaysHaii: @lunarrose1244 idk why but I think he’d be a good Zeus
12/15/2024 @justicefool3942: @blah7983 Don't forget Jonathan Freeman who played Stolas' father as well as Jafar in Aladdin.
12/15/2024 @ananas9248: Like I said, Frollo died in flames and became Satan
12/15/2024 @xsailor85: If they were still alive I would have gone with Tony Jay or Christopher Lee
12/15/2024 @xsailor85: @lunarrose1244 ⚡️Zues⚡️
12/15/2024 @ananas9248: @xsailor85 OH DAMN SON!!! If Satan was voiced by Sir Christopher Lee, he would've wiped the entirety of Hell with his voice alone
12/15/2024 @theangryenderman7073: @lunarrose1244 When did he play god?
12/15/2024 @tlh0525: @justicefool3942 it's all your fault Jafar!
12/15/2024 @Hellaverse_00-h4q: Satan and Frollo. God what a legend
12/15/2024 @theangryenderman7073: @Hellaverse_00-h4q when did he play god
12/15/2024 @stephkinzfitchy: @theangryenderman7073 I was pretty curious after hearing this, looked it up on Wikipedia. He played the voice of God in the play "An Act of God"!
12/15/2024 @Galaxsieygamer: Sam Haft was literally going on about Patrick Page being perfect for the role.
And specifically had the last note go that low just to show off how much of a bass Page is. it was masterfully planned
12/15/2024 @joseriverajr6254: Isn't that hades from hades from hadestown?
12/15/2024 @theangryenderman7073: @joseriverajr6254 indeed it is
12/15/2024 @NoodlesOfLife: @lunarrose1244 like hades from hadestown cause that’s what I thought but I’m unsure?
01/15/2025 @tahraethestoryteller6079: @blah7983 I think he has more similarities with Adam than Fizzeroli
01/15/2025 @carolineasr9800: REAL my mind blew as I heard him speak for the first time, I was like- 'is that HADES???' his voice is so unique and fitting for a character like satan
01/15/2025 @phantom12321800: @blah7983 she knows her audience is chock full of theatre geeks who appreciate the casting though too.
01/15/2025 @KingdomHeartsFan3211: It seems like he has a thing for roles related to Hell. First, Dom Claude Frollo in “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”; then Hades in “Hadestown”; and now Satan in “Helluva Boss”.
🤔
BONUS:
He has also played the Grinch and Scar.
02/15/2025 @katelynthewhitewerewolf6376: @KingdomHeartsFan3211
Scar even becomes a Fire Ghost in The Lion Guard.
02/15/2025 @amandawaters1283: DUDE BLITZO IS ABOUT CRY AND SATEN STOP ACCUSING LITTLE BLITZO:(
03/15/2025 @trentl3492: I couldnt remember his name, but i knew that voice was familiar. Thank you for sparing my ADD.
03/15/2025 @MadelineShapiro-w7b: His voice sounded amazing!! 🤩🔥
03/15/2025 @trentl3492: @NoodlesOfLifeyup same hades...though last i saw, months ago now, he isnt part of the cast anymore. I havent re-checked latwly though.
03/15/2025 @trentl3492: @joseriverajr6254 it WAS Hades....last i looked, months ago, he had stepped back from Hadestown for other projects or a break.
04/15/2025 @trentl3492: Also just saw on his iMDb page that he is the Magic Mirror in the new Snow White. So, yeah, likely stepped away from being the stage voice for Hades for these other projects.
04/15/2025 @DamienAlexander-Ducroix: I really do hope to see a show one day where Patrick Page is cast as a saintly character, the comedic contrast between his ridiculously kind actions and evil-sounding voice played up.
05/15/2025 @Unknown_User174: @YajimaAna The late Tony Jay who also voiced Frollo in the Disney version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and In four of the Legacy of Kain games he had a couple of roles including The Elder God will be so proud.
05/15/2025 @DustinEaton-u6s6u: I love that they made satan and Lucifer different people
07/15/2025 @SammiEnka: @SierraSaysHaiioooh yes upcoming Hercules live action
07/25/2025 @Twinstream_the_hedgehog: That voice...forget blitzykun!
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: What I like is that you can see him stalling until the "fuck it!", trying to think if he can figure a different exit before throwing it all away, until he realizes he can't and just plays the last card
12/15/2024 @AshtonMonitor: YES OMG he’s desperately trying to figure out if he has anything that could prove Bltz’s innocence but anything he has that can be substantiated is worthless and the rest is his (biased) word against Andrealphus and the others, so he NEEDS to take the fall and finally commits himself fully.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @AshtonMonitor Well, considering now one there had any innocense of his guilt, that should've been really easy. This episode had a lot of bad writting+ a mid song to boot.
12/15/2024 @PleaseStandBy27: @REALPXNE0 bro did not just insult this cinema
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @PleaseStandBy27 I fail to see why on earth this episode is “cinema”.
I made a comment before explaining all my valid criticisms, but to summarize, the writting in this episode is horrid.
If you disagree, I would love to hear your side.
12/15/2024 @ZoéPÉRÉ: oh my Chuck I hadn't seen it that way !! I love you you just change the whole meaning of this song for me ! I already loved it but the start bored me a little but now I see it in such a new light !
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: @REALPXNE0 "now one there had any innocense of his guilt"
Do you mean "No one there had any evidence of his guilt"? Or "Now one there was innocent from his guilt"? Because I want to know what you mean.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @ sorry, autocorrect is a b$&@.
I meant that no one had any evidence of his guilt.
While there were plenty of people who had concrete evidence that he was “innocent”.
He has a legal way of going to the Living World, all they have to do is claim that he had it a very long time ago. And that he never used the book (something that, though not true, there’s no proving that it isn’t).
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: @REALPXNE0 Okay, so, I wrote a long comment and it keeps getting deleted, so I'll break it in some smaller ones to see what's keeping it from being public. Excuse the inconvenience.
Edit: Apparently it was the total size? Or the fact that I used too many separations between some paragraphs? My apologies really, I don't understand what was going on.
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: @REALPXNE0 Well, it's not that simple. First let's go over the evidence they do have:
First of all, more people can testify that they saw Blitzo leave the mansion with the book crashing Stella's tea party than those who would testify in his favor.
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: @REALPXNE0
Second, he recorded ads for his business months before getting the legal means, and the book is even present in the first seconds of the ad.
Third, there must be a registration for all those who are allowed to go to the real world, and that registration will have a date. Which means that every billboard, client, and ad previous to that date would be illegal.
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: @REALPXNE0 .
Fourth, you have striker's testimony which pushes the issue into them smuggling angelic weapons and handling Royalty-killing tools which makes the jury and judges worried.
Fifth, Stolas has only been doing his job once a month. And that can be tracked too.
12/15/2024 @sasir2013: @REALPXNE0
Now, you can criticize the show for not talking about this evidence. They chose not to repeat information we know and the characters know in order to keep an active and intense pacing, which is a decision you can be against.
But you must remember, this is a mock court. The judge wants the trial to be swift and head out for lunch. As stolas himself criticized, they only want to execute someone and close the case. As such, if they had been told that they had to wait for hours, they would rather just execute the imp, as you saw.
Therefore, Stolas needed a piece of evidence that would be both decisive, incriminating for another person, and quick to show. He had nothing like that, so he made the sacrifice.
Edit:And that's the end of the comment. Sorry for the inconvenience.
12/15/2024 @PleaseStandBy27: @sasir2013 well said thank you for helping I was honestly just gonna ask if he could do any better
12/15/2024 @lighthunder2156: @sasir2013 That seems more Logic than i thought now, stolas was smart in the trial after all
12/15/2024 @Mittoa: @sasir2013 To add on to this - It doesn't matter how innocent/guilty the court believed Blitz to be. He's an imp, a creature considered to be less than, even by his own creator. Satan would have likely executed him regardless just for the hassle of being called to court.
12/15/2024 @CaramelGeo: My biggest issue is the fact bro literally knew Striker was working with Stella, Striker outright SAID it in S2E4🙏😭
12/15/2024 @rachelhansen2417: I think he went in with that plan, but still stalled playing it, but mostly for dramatic flair
12/15/2024 @jirivymlatil3962: @REALPXNE0 How can call this song mid?!
12/15/2024 @savannah8418: @Mittoa I mean, that stings though, being considered gum on shoes even by your own creator 😭
12/15/2024 @eian943: @REALPXNE0 imps are an underclass who’s are constantly out down satan didn’t care what blitz said he’s the sin of wrath. No matter what he was going to give a harsh punishment.
12/15/2024 @AshtonMonitor: @CaramelGeo yeah, but there’s no real evidence, just hearsay, and Satan’s invested in just punishing SOMEONE so he can get to lunch, so he’d be dismissing anything less than utterly damning evidence that Striker was the assassin and was working for Stella, and it still doesn’t absolve Blitzø of using Stolas’s grimoire
12/15/2024 @PleaseStandBy27: @_ShiAngel that’s what I was saying
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @sasir2013 Hey, no problem. As long as You Found a way to get your idea across, that’s what matters. I’m the one who should be sorry for taking so long to reply. Let me read everything first.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @sasir2013 Okay, on the first one I agree, it becomes a he-said-she-said eventually and there are people in Blitz favor whose words have weight and value (Stolas, Asmodeus, Bee, for example). And THAT would make a very interesting scenario where Asmodeus (someone who clearly is holding himself from defending blitz due to his current backlash) could be the deciding testimony, only for him to chicken out, dooming Blitz and forcing Stolas to pull the trigger that was “Masterming”. Haven’t read every comment you’ve made but the scenario that would`ve existed if what we`re talking about was taken seriously is a LOT MORE INTERESTING than what happened in the actual show.
Let’s move on..
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @sasir2013 Second: Now THIS is the best evidence they could possibly have to incriminate Blitz. And there`s no defense to that. The only possible argument would be that the book shown is NOT the Grimoire, and that the whole business is a sham to Scamm people out of their money (something Imps would definitively do). But Blitz did catch himself in 4k.
And i love the fact you mentioning that, cause if they went that route, not only would it show how much the writers are paying attention to their story, showing something from the PILOT, but it would also be an extremelly funny gag of Blitz screaming something like "none of you have ANY PROOF that i even went or had access to the living world", only for them to show his own add, saying those exact words, hahaha (Moxxie would probably be fuming with rage. It really wasn`t a good ad).
Third: they couldn`t afford a billboard, the clients would most likely never be found and their documents were destroyed in this exact episode, and adds could also apply to the same logic as the second point i`ve mentioned. BUT it would be cool if they gathered IMP`s clients, it would be a very interesing "finale" reflecting on everything they did and following the premise of "the past comming to haunt them" that Blitz keeps falling into.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @sasir2013 Fourth: Striker`s testimony? You mean the lowly Imp who can easily be paid to lie? There are no documents that prove what he`s saying PLUS his rank is so low that his testimony wouldn`t mean two craps anyway. Besides, Blitz`s logic was great, but the episode made people`s reactions stupid. He is an assassin, why would he hire another assassin to do his job for him?
Fifth: On this one you are indeed correct and he has been doing his job once a month, though it doesn`t prove he didn`t have posession over the Grimoire, he simply wasn`t using it. And apparently, his job is so easy that he can do it in one day and no one even notice it.
Besides, we don`t even really know what his job IS, so how are you SURE that it can be registered in some way?
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @sasir2013 Do not worry, that was no inconveience at all, in fact i enjoyed listening to your arugments as they were extremelly sound. I believe i`m the one who`s sorry for taking so long to read them, but i believe i`ve provided an apropriate response to the majority of them and explained how this, what we`re doing right now, is a lot more intersting than what happened in the episode.
Also, the kangaroo court was mentioned by Stolaz, he started the music saying how killing Blitz without any evidence just because they want to would simply turn him into a Martyr for all of Imp-kind, resulting in the opposite effect of what the Higher classes wanted (to keep Imp-kind in line). So they have a very strong reason to show (or FORGE) evidence of his guilt. Creating much more interesting scenario we got from the episode. Not only that, but it would create what Blitz always wants, to be IMPORTANT. Think of it! A simple IMP trial turning into something SO BIG AND IMPORTANT, that the whole state of Imp-kind is at stake. Now THAT would result in the recognition and fame that Blitz got at the end of the episode.
Imagine the potential of what could`ve happened: Stolaz screams and shouts how Snow Boy`s allibies are non-sensical, that he has no actual evidence or documents of Blitz stealing the book or doing anything that he`s being procecuted for (don`t forget that Stolaz literally spent HOURS reading a contract to help Ozzie)....only for them to show the commercial.
THAT breaks the cammel`s back and all hope of saving Blitz....Stolaz can`t think of any defenses....so he throws his hands for Asmodeus to help him out, speaking about the crystal, how he`s legally allowed to go the living world. Now Ozz is in the spotlight and he could say something....only for Mommon to remind him that the entirety of hell is seeing this, so "time to show whose side are you on: ours or theirs?". Ozzie, afraid of getting dragged into all of this, losing his reputation, lozing Fizz....doesn`t say anything, dooming Blitz and consequently forcing Stolaz to go "mastermind" + that creates the very first big scar between Ozz and Fizz, which could really be explored in further episodes:
as Stolaz and Blitz become closer in terms of rank and emotion..... Fizz and Ozzie`s rank and emotional state have never grown wider apart...
GOD, WHAT A WASTE OF AN EPISODE.
And for @PleaseStandBy-jh2yb who said if i could do better...yeah..just did.
And let`s not forget the comment we`re texting on.
"Pulls his final card". It was literally his first card. So there was NO BUILD-UP.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @Mittoa Stolaz made a very good point in the beggining of the song why they should simply execute him with no concrete evidence. I explained it in another comment.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @CaramelGeo I`ve used this argument before, but it`s flawed. Apparently Stolaz....wasn`t paying attention? It`s a dumb as it sounds, but yeah.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @jirivymlatil3962 OK....i`ll elaborate:
- The placement is weird and drains all the tension of the scene away....
- The song itself doesn`t provide a valuable reason for why people would believe Stolaz and his crazy claims of being "the mastermind" specially because he`s clearly taking the blow for Blitz, and any idiot would notice that, because if he truly was the mastermind, he got away with it....just....shut up...
- and to fninsh it all off, the ammount of potential this court had, in terms of arguments, evidence and all that was completely wasted! All the writting and Drama that could`ve occured completelly out the gutter.
I elaborated on the potential of this episode in another comment.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @eian943 And Stolaz clearly explained why doing that would be absolutely terrible. And that he wants to look like a Ruthless, but just, ruler.
Besides, during the whole court he was reminded TWICE by an IMP to keep his cool. By your logic an IMP telling SATAN to calm down? Now that`s insane.
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @_ShiAngel OK, i could explain further, but i already did that in a comment in this feed. It`s no (just bad) music wise, but it`s also bad in soooo many other ways.
Read the other comment instead of calling me stupid. Besides, you don`t seem to show any evidence that the song is good either.
The rythim and lyrics of this song, compared to so many others in this show are simply too lackluster. All to you, when i see him tonight, Look my way. They`re 1000 times more powerful and beautiful lyrics-wise, rythmic-wise and even vocaly. If one were to qualify this song compared to all the outstanding performances shown previously, it would certainly be: MID. I`m glad you enjoyed the song, but i simply didn`t. No need to call me an idiot.
12/15/2024 @PleaseStandBy27: @REALPXNE0 Yknow the issue I find with your statement is if we just telling them they were all wrong and his alibis were fake we would still get to the same point because they both broke the law and stolas probably realized this and decided to do the same thing blitz had just done blame it on himself and say they were just following his orders also they really didn’t care whether blitz died or not so they didn’t want to look at the evidence anyway so stolas just took the blame so they would at least not kill blitz cause it was the same reasoning as before he made imps to follow orders and if blitz was doing as he asked he couldn’t be punished for it just like Luna, moxie and Millie plus the song is not mid it’s one of the best there’s been so thank you and goodbye 👋
12/15/2024 @czujesiekrzesem5285: He could just ask why they want execute Blitzo and say them why he is innocent.
12/15/2024 @meriewanderer: The thing is, the court doesn't care what's true or not. Even if they could prove Blitzø borrowed it I'm pretty sure that was still not very legal. Plus why would a higher class demon give away this much power to an imp?
Even if they can go around it, the court isn't going to be satisfied. They wanted to see someone executed, and now they can just walk free.
Keep in mind they were fighting a battle they could never win, and it's easier to just take the blame than pinning it on the actual "mastermind" here. It still doesn't matter because Blitzø and Stolas STILL BROKE THE LAW WITH THE GRIMOIRE. The entire reason Stolas found Ozzie for an alternative is literally because that wasn't legal , 😭
12/15/2024 @btblue8540: I was thinking the exact same thing
12/15/2024 @PleaseStandBy27: @meriewanderer yeah that’s pretty much exactly what I meant just shorter
12/15/2024 @jonny_the_piratefox: @CaramelGeo okay, but Stolas didn't know stricker was there. He just tuned in on the program when they were about to execute Blitzø, he didn't knew about Stricker. Stricker was already gone
12/15/2024 @ptarabelele1333: Another thing to consider with this episode is that Andrealphus is the real mastermind in the entire episode. His objective is to get Stolas power and influence, so looking at the trial objectively how could he ever have achieved this? He even made sure to portrait Stolas as a victim, even when Blitz said he was given the book. Based on this, Satan would have killed Blitz and never stripped Stolas from his power. The problem is, if Stolas had gone to the trial fully prepared, given there's no evidence, it would be the word of a Goetic prince against a simple Goetia, and the case would have been dismissed immediately. Andrealphus needed Blitz to admit the crime, at the point Stolas showed up, Satan had already declared the sentence, so Stolas knew he wouldn't be willing to listen to any more details, so he was pressed by time to save Blitz, so he sacrificed himself instead, just as Andrealphus wanted.
12/15/2024 @PleaseStandBy27: @REALPXNE0 I don’t think that was an imp
12/15/2024 @REALPXNE0: @PleaseStandBy27 I’ve explained before multiple counterpoints of what you said and I am just too tired to provide a long response again.
I’m sad that we haven’t reached an agreement, but can at least agree to disagree.
