11/06/2022 @jamesbailey6257: that's one of the more impressive parts of this project to me(besides the fact that this either all had to be done by hand or this dude somehow is sourcing fucking alpha build mods for this), a decade+ of minecraft, and despite everyone's brain being hardwired to move a certain way at this point, he really plays the game like a kid who picked ot up before all that much was known about optimizing the game, the hesitation before jumps and stuff, digging straight down, how torches are placed, it just nails what it feels like to see videos of people playing the game around this time(the only thing that sorta throws me out is jumping and placing a block right before you hit the ground, don't think that was really a meta at the time).
It feels like it's playing into the general air if mystery alpha build had, with the game not having a ton of popularity, not having all that much known about it and, idk, alpha build was creepy in highsight, it created a very weird, empty, almost uncanny valley like world.
