03/06/2024 @BrUh-tu5nt: While I still don't understand how Chris or that other entity became the 'shadows', or how that Lethe Protocol was made or how it's able to erase Andrew's memory, or what the wells and towers symbolize. I still really enjoy how prevalent the theme of being unable to move on from the past is, from Andrew using a texture pack to replicate how the old versions of Minecraft looked, to Andrew saying stuff like "Let's do it like this for old times sake" or "this is just like the old days!" or even just talking about his distaste for copper, an ore from the 'new' era of mc to going to the old worlds of minecraft (Tutorial world, winter wonderland). Like even the whole reason for starting this whole thing, was to find an old friend that just suddenly disconnected. It's his obsession to just keep trying to go the past and feel like how it was back then.
Like, it sometimes kinda feels like a critique on how the fanbase for Minecraft is, everytime someone complains about Minecraft it's about how the new features don't compare to the old ones, that it doesn't feel the same as it did years ago when they were kids, that it isn't fun anymore, that it's too different. Maybe it's not necessarily a critique on that, but that's my interpretation of it.
As for a theory I have on this, it's that maybe Andrew realizes this, that even when he eventually manages to 'stay' in the simpler times, it won't feel the same because it's just not possible, it can only be replicated because he has to move on, he has to grow up eventually as well, maybe that's why his voice gets deeper almost every episode, he's literally growing up. This is one of the best Minecraft ARGs i've ever seen honestly, it's so well detailed and has so much effort put into it, this deserves to be talked about a lot more. And if the creator of this project read this, you are doing a fantastic job on this and I can't wait to see how the story continues.
