Honestly, I've never seen this before. So made a video and tried to explain it while being tired at midnight.
Also, about the Infdev series, it's not canceled, there will be more episodes eventually, it's just on a hiatus while I get over the current motivation slump. (Edit: I really am bad at time management).
Edit: The seed for this world is: 2241057749865202718

10/25/2024 @314rft: 1:55 By the way, well after this video was made, various people have actually reached the farlands, and somehow avoided the sand/gravel lag. To this day I still don't know how they did it!
11/06/2021 @akosex3967: Amazing Far Lands seed!
11/06/2021 @jaypaint4855: Super strange. I got your mod working btw
11/06/2019 @pyxxl355: So I threw the seed for this world into a newer version of Minecraft (1.11.2) modded to generate the Far Lands, and these holes still generate! I tested it both on the default world preset and with the biome set to forest only. Interestingly, they pretty much stop at the next layer up, so I think it’s just an anomaly of the particular world seed. These holes don’t generate in the Farther Lands, but they do generate up to them. This seems to work in both the Nether and the End as well!
11/06/2017 @holeholemax663: great video, you already know antvenom gonna take your video and make on about the same
11/06/2018 @Dirt_Piper: Literally prophetic
11/06/2018 @314rft: Max, you predicted the future.
11/06/2020 @betterskatezdepechemodefan2590: World seeds are notoriously unpredictable.
10/25/2024 @user-st7km1if1f: o__o....?
10/25/2024 @314rft: What's there to be confused about? Back in late 2017, when I was a senior in high school, I accidentally stumbled on the strangest farlands I've ever seen and decided to record a video about it.
