11/06/2019 @lobsterthemobster2032: Drowsy Waters I cant tell if your joking or not bit its true
11/06/2019 @vinodsamala8592: They were on ACID
11/06/2019 @urisalgado2178: @vinodsamala8592 thats actually a misconception. John saw his son what he was drawing and asked him who it was, the son replied and said the drawing was Lucy in the sky with diamonds (the son's friend)
11/06/2019 @oqo3310: @urisalgado2178 not his friend but his teacher
11/06/2019 @oqo3310: @napoleonbonaparteempereurd4676 je n'aurai jamais imaginé que tu puisse dire cela
11/06/2019 @alexbamford2908: @napoleonbonaparteempereurd4676 well he prpbably saw the drawing and was like 'ah a song' while on acid
11/06/2019 @napoleonbonaparteempereurd4676: The Iron Cross
Not according to Paul McCartney
11/06/2019 @napoleonbonaparteempereurd4676: jonathan gianguzzo
OK, that still doesn't prove Lennon right.
Its wish thinking to say I want to believe X regardless of others views...
The honest answer is to say we dont 100% know.
11/06/2019 @FlavioPhysics: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH BRINING THE OSCAR TO THIS COMENT!
11/06/2019 @davidgottfried1842: Lysegeric Acid Diethylamade !!!! Feed Your Head !!!!
11/06/2019 @earth6862: LSD wow drugs
11/06/2019 @liamlouren1726: It's a lie
11/06/2019 @MrMickRoo1: @oqo3310 , Lucy was Julians friend, Lucy has recently died. "Until the end of his life, Lennon maintained that the song was actually inspired by a painting that his three-year-old son Julian had made of Lucy O’Donnell, his classmate at Heath House nursery school. “This is the truth: My son came home with a drawing and showed me this strange-looking woman flying around,” he explained during an appearance on The Dick Cavett Show in 1971. “I said, ‘What is it?’ and he said, ‘It’s Lucy in the sky with diamonds,’ and I thought, ‘That’s beautiful.’ I immediately wrote a song about it. After the album had come out and the album had been published, someone noticed that the letters spelt out LSD and I had no idea about it. … But nobody believes me.”
11/06/2019 @MrMickRoo1: @oqo3310 "Until the end of his life, Lennon maintained that the song was actually inspired by a painting that his three-year-old son Julian had made of Lucy O’Donnell, his classmate at Heath House nursery school. 11/06/2020 @SirWalruTheBold: Thanks for getting this right my man. If you read the book A Hard Day’s Write they actually have a copy of the picture that Julian drew.
11/06/2020 @IanPiedras: Lucy in the
Sky with
Diamonds
11/06/2020 @lennie1512: Julian even confirmed this was about his drawing, and people are still thinking it’s fake.
11/06/2020 @dancingtriangle2814: @davidgottfried1842 Remember what the dormouse said.
11/06/2020 @MrAzboGaming: Uriel Salgado no the misconception or more accurately the “official story”
Wether or not Lennon’s son ever did such a drawing is unprovable.
What is very easy to prove is they were off their tits
11/06/2020 @barbaranelson8617: Aayush Tulsyan I’m pretty sure the drugs helped as well.🙃🙃🙃
11/06/2020 @Karina-sc2jz: More like magic mushrooms
11/06/2020 @lopex7795: L
11/06/2020 @fastfootedone: actually the L was for Lucifer
11/06/2020 @endsieg302: @urisalgado2178 JSD?
11/06/2020 @dessentavos9342: HOLY SHIT
11/06/2020 @runequester6834: @oqo3310 No, it was his friend, not his teacher.
11/06/2020 @sonianevermind1232: Yessssssss. No one else believes it
11/06/2020 @pajamas_the_emo: EXACTLY!!!
11/06/2020 @jimwalker9568: Actually, John said he didn't realize the song's first letters were LSD. Paul said that John wrote the song after seeing Julian's picture and when he wrote the song he wanted it to be phsychadelic
11/06/2020 @calebdihel6863: Aayush Tulsyan nope
11/06/2020 @unclepear1528: @alexbamford2908 lmfao
11/06/2020 @yourfriendlybulbasaur9165: It's true
11/06/2020 @japalco6185: I think is:
Lucy in the
Sky with
Diamonds
11/06/2020 @jasonpeters9865: B. BOB
D. DYLAN
No Bob? The cool American..Beatles still wanting hold her hands
11/06/2020 @jdubhbsfinnest4881: Lucifer
Satan
Devil ?
11/06/2020 @brisakruspe: so it’s not about his son’s damn drawing? lol
11/06/2020 @jdubhbsfinnest4881: @brisakruspe hey whatever you say I agree with LOL
11/06/2020 @Logan-kh8bi: L: ACID
S: IS
D: FUN
That’s the correct interpretation
11/06/2020 @GuitarHeroPhenomSux: You guys bringing up that Lennon interview are so damn unbelievably credulous. It's like he could literally sing a lyric about doing LSD, then just explain it was some picture his son drew, and you'd believe him no matter what. The man was feeling backlash from politicians and concerned parents, so he had to make up some explanation to cover his ass. The lyrics clearly allude to a psychedelic trip. I suppose you all think Purple Haze was about a soft drink.
11/06/2020 @theme542: That’s story is a front for this being an lsd song. This is one of their trippiest songs at the height of their psychedelic use. John was taking it the most. Even if it was about the drawling John likes the fact it made the words spell out to be LSD. There’s no way there is no no connection to acid.
11/06/2020 @TraverseRaps: I believe Paul told him to give this explanation, he's not called the best PR for nothing.
11/06/2020 @RobinMots83: Yeaaahhhh off course :/
11/06/2020 @johnnickfanaccount3492: I really don't see how you buy that shit... It's obvious what the song is based on, and it's not "Lennon's son's drawing". You only have to look at the lyrics and name a single time to figure it out... Lennon said that to be PC
11/06/2020 @aayushtulsyan: Queenfan 42 it’s supposed to be joke SmartyPants
11/06/2021 @Paulo-fx4uj: Julian definitely did this drawing, but the music is about a LSD trip. Jhon probably just saw there an opportunity to make it. I can enven imagine he asking his son who was the girl, and than confirming with him if the stars were diamond, and then, after thinking a little, he noticed that it could be the perfect title for a song abou LSD
11/06/2021 @selfhelp69: @vinodsamala8592 So much acid.
04/06/2024 @JJStale: @urisalgado2178 I doubt he was telling the truth
07/06/2024 @NolanPagano: Yep
07/06/2024 @NolanPagano: @vinodsamala8592 they were
10/06/2024 @michaelreilly6874: I wish I'd thought of that joke.
10/06/2024 @xz3ss: @fastfootedone no
10/06/2024 @harrisondrake9614: If you seriously believe this song is anything other than to do with LSD you are delusional, what are the chances that the song would be an acronym for LSD because of his son’s picture. Seriously
10/23/2024 @mikekoenig6467: @alexbamford2908 back then he probably made that up because it was heavily frowned upon at the time....
10/29/2024 @robinrobyn1714: @harrisondrake9614 The song has absolutely nothing to do with LSD. It has everything to do with the writings of Lewis Carroll.
11/06/2020 @shortyparker: My 11th birthday was coming up and a friend of mine said if you could have anything in the world for a present what would it be ? I said a copy of the new Beatles record Sgt. Pepper . A few days later he shows up with it, I was in shock, I cried tears of joy. I still have that album. In 1967 when a loaf of bread costs 35 cents and your 11 year old friend buys you a $ 4 .00 album , you get the picture.
11/06/2020 @appleislander8536: for reference, about 30-35 dollars today.
11/06/2020 @starrynight1165: @appleislander8536 holy cow money was valuable back then
11/06/2020 @appleislander8536: @starrynight1165 mighty be the Gods of inflation
11/06/2020 @edgarsxdwoo7417: i wish i was alive then
11/06/2020 @matteovrizzi: Great story about true friendship! A loaf of bread costs ~$5 now, so a new Sgt Pepper would be nearly $60!
11/06/2021 @landonplays344: hows the friend?
11/06/2021 @MsLenepigen: Aw. That's a very good friend.
11/06/2021 @bobthepigbobthepig4758: Lucky!
11/06/2021 @Joppio05: @edgarsxdwoo7417 i dont lol
11/06/2023 @jeaton8023: Do you still play it ?
11/06/2023 @danlamarre4136: @jeaton8023 All of my Beatle albums are on display in my rec room and I yes i do play them on special occasions
11/06/2023 @jackfelenchak6122: You also made a dollar fifty an hour
11/06/2023 @TorstenFelder-bn2ez: Beautiful memory from the past. Thanks for sharing :-)
11/06/2023 @oksalbright: @starry night I remember when diesel was 75 cents a gallon and regular gasoline was like 99 cents a gallon and the pumps had two different size nozzles so you didn't accidentally put regular gas into a car that was supposed to get unleaded only. 🤣 Also collected empty glass pop bottles and took to the store to get 5 cents per bottle and then buy a bag of candy with the money. 😆
11/06/2023 @isaiahbray9312: That is so awesome
11/06/2023 @1earedwolf: @oksalbright diesel and petrol nozzles are still different sizes.
11/06/2023 @juanamanuel3631: Awesome 😁 👍

11/06/2023 @sheilamcdonald9081: Absolutely love this text 💕 😍 💗
11/06/2023 @christianweatherbroadcasting: Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way. We deserve Hell because we've sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.
