11/06/2019 @colinjennings3661: This is such a simple song but is probably the most perfect pop song of all time.
11/06/2019 @andyhaslam9231: Totally agree Colin. George Martin said one day their song writing just clicked and this is a prime example.56 years on still gets the hairs on the neck standing to attention.
11/06/2019 @dynamicdave2647: This is one of my favorites from beatles
11/06/2019 @bryantorres6366: maybe it's yesterday, but that's just my opinion. :p
11/06/2019 @jerrymammoser1509: Yeah. It’s got everything, the offbeat kick at (“she loves YOU...and you know that can’t be bad..”), the perfect stop, using 1/4th note triplets, the climax yeah yeah yeah, the open 3-part vocal harmony and the diminished chord right before the “Ooo”. Perfect
These boys were accomplished “live” musicians before they even saw the inside of a studio. They just played so well together, the more I hear and listen to their stuff, earlier stuff, the more obvious that becomes. Couldn’t read traditional transcription, yet were so enthusiastic that they hopped on a bus, travelled crosstown to meet with a guy who knew what a B7th chord was. Can you even imagine that?
They did it the hard way, coming up in a land of rubble and devastation, courtesy of the Nazi “bleitzkrieg”, and so on. Their parents’ hero was Churchill, the light at the end of their tunnel. We were luckier than they (The Beatles, that is), for, as stupendous a group they were, WE’RE rhe ones who got entertained and shaken by them. They really shook us!
11/06/2019 @codymartin8298: wow that macks snacks
11/06/2020 @amycrunch3812: Simple? Backwards chord progression, putting a dim on there, and ending on a 6th over the protests of Martin? OK...
11/06/2020 @keep_walking_on_grass: thank god they did't know a lot about music theory. it would have destroyed their creativity. all they had was talent and intuitution.
11/06/2020 @mubates6160: **rock
11/06/2020 @_-_Michael_-_: It’s like there happends exactly what should in 2 and half minute song.
11/06/2020 @jazzmaster909: @keep_walking_on_grass thank god they did't know a lot about music theory
Yeah George martin Definitely did not exist at all.
11/06/2020 @keep_walking_on_grass: @jazzmaster909 George Martin did not compose or had the ideas for the songs. in the early years they wrote many songs in the tour bus on the road and in hotel rooms.
11/06/2020 @gabeaddisonmusic: Some of the only good pop music I listen to since it has real instruments🔥
11/06/2020 @wb1985: Every second of that song is a hook. Killer. It takes no prisoners.
11/06/2020 @sipduhcyanide: Gabe bass man Addison keep in mind that there are masterpieces of songs that don’t contain a single “real” instrument .. you sound childish
11/06/2021 @hogridermark7978: Uhh, just so you know. This is not pop, this is classical rock.
11/06/2023 @harold3165: If it's so simple then I'd love to see you make more songs like it
11/06/2023 @sciexp: @stupidedgykid9563 that's what music theory tells us right? What sounds good...
11/06/2023 @cassandra_bonnet: My mom would say the opposite heh 🥲
11/06/2023 @maribethbrewer3506: They were on top of the world weren't they? And us too with music like this.
11/06/2023 @johnjameson6113: You can definitely hear the blues roots in this song.
11/06/2023 @yp8152: I wanna hold your hand
11/06/2023 @-MrCrowley-: @hogridermark7978 i think it’s “pop rock”
11/06/2023 @LibbyLickers2413: POP?!😠
11/06/2023 @milesfann33: @PayesX The Beatles according to Paul McCartney was actually more considered blues/rock. They were heavily influenced by American blues and country. Go watch some Paul McCartney interviews, he talks about their sound. John Lennon LOVED American blues! Just listen to some of his chord progressions! The song I Saw Her Standing There is a great example of the blues influence.
03/06/2024 @JimDeferio: Simple? "She Loves You" is an eleven chord song! Compare that to 108 Taylor Swift songs of four chords or less.
04/06/2024 @FBGOODIE: Actually according to the most serious academic standards of musical aesthetic She Loves You is considered, believe it or not, a Hard Rock song according to the standards of its times, and yes it was definitely Pop too in terms of popularity.A masterpiece.
04/06/2024 @NathanPinkerton-m6i: Right behind I WANNA HOLD your AaAHAND
05/06/2024 @ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec: @milesfann33 the Beatles listened to the blues? Since when? They did not actually and it shows in their music , having no trace of American blues. They liked pop music more, mommas and the poppas and Evelyn brothers, as well as skiffle , rockability.
Beatles were a pop rock band.blues was not an influence.
05/06/2024 @ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec: This song in fact is NOT SIMPLE. Can you also please stop saying that? How would you know what is simple or not?
10/23/2024 @keithlambert2251: @mubates6160
Agree !! This is a ROCK song - NOT. "pop" song.
11/06/2019 @andyhaslam9231: Next year it will be 50 years since The Beatles broke up. Yet 50 years down the line they are still the most popular band in the world. Every minute of the day there is a Beatles song playing on the radio somewhere in the world.
11/06/2019 @mlpartclub412: And they never got back together, because of what happened to John and George.
11/06/2019 @beatlejim64: @Jacob Salisbury(ST) You have no clue!!! The Beatles changed EVERYTHING!!! Queen? Too funny!
11/06/2020 @nicklarson9935: @Jacob Salisbury(ST) queen more influential? There's no way
11/06/2020 @coolfred9083: Queen was great too, but there's just something about the Beatles
11/06/2020 @thebandit0256: God damming Yoko
11/06/2020 @luisarevalo4674: Andy Haslam yes you May be right!! Although the love and respect nowadays is vanishing by the year... love needs to come back!!
11/06/2020 @MultiElegantman: I wonder if any XFactor wannabe will last as long?
11/06/2020 @andyhaslam9231: @MultiElegantman Sadly No X Factor winner will even be remembered 50 years from now. Music of 2020 sadly will not be played in 50 years as the vast majority is autotuned nonsense and instantly forgettable.
11/06/2020 @youtuberz35: I came back to this comment 10 months later just to say it’s been 50 years now
11/06/2020 @derplanschbeckengangster7260: @youtuberz35 me too
11/06/2020 @beatlejim64: @MultiElegantman LOL!!! No...because The Beatles had/have talent!!!
11/06/2020 @beatlejim64: @andyhaslam9231 They won't even be remembered in their own household!!!
11/06/2020 @FREDDURST99: Andy Haslam on my brothers birthday so good and bad day
11/06/2020 @kevincervantes427: Coolfred there’s definitely something about The Beatles I listen to Spanish and rap music and I’m a Mexican American and I like The Beatles their songs get stuck in my head
11/06/2020 @alfching2499: Just Think This Is About 57 Years Old ,Where as The Time Gone
11/06/2020 @LeigneB888: @Jacob Salisbury(ST) nah
11/06/2020 @tursiopss: It is funny that this is the year when its been 50 years since the Beatles broke up and It's been such a crazy and awfull year haha
