11/21/2023 @Ijustusethistocommentstuff: (Watching this series in release order) I like how the series plays around with changing small details, the dark figure becoming more and more defined each appearance, before going back to the shadows. The mic quality changed between 6 and 7, unintentionally giving a little bit of extra tension and paranoia. Andrew's performance is remarkably good for a fake version of a let's play. I also like how the videos preceding don't have much mystery, but more confusion, if anything.

There’s a generation behind or ahead of us that has experienced this before. Confusion of phenomena, glimpses of unexplainable things, the slow burn reveal of a spooky mystery, a story about a ghost of an individual long lost from contact.
We know of that story. Or at least, we know the footprints that followed it, and other significant stories, like Shadow of Israphel, or The Daylight Owl. Their magic, wonder, and curiosity, like Herobrine, have long since passed, long since forgotten. Mythologized. Archived.
There’s little magic we can’t science out of it…
But us viewers of this very series?
We get to experience that magic for ourselves. Right here, right now.
It’s brilliant!

In my opinion, this series more bridges a gap between many different kinds of internet stories: The more amateur, Marble Hornets-like early internet webseries; The inexplainable mid-period type of horror, where its less jumpscare-ish and more atmospheric, like the SCP Foundation or the Backrooms; finally, the new-age analog/digital horror, where typical media is twisted and distorted, and small differences can spell doom for the main characters. The only other series I see this with is ShutupJoJo's Needlemouse, another, in my opinion, prime example of analog horror. If I had to say a criticism of this series, is that it doesn't go TOO far with its premise. I wish it did something more to diverge itself from the typical "shadowy figure is in my game!!!!11!!!!!11!1!!!!1!!!!!!11!!" digital horror.

To be fair, to that last part, that’s technically what was Herobrine, way back when.
A creepy figure you’d see in the haze of the fog.
Someone who built odd structures, such as tunnels, leaf-stripped trees…
Associated with a structure with a 3x3x1 base, complete with either Redstone, or Mossy Cobblestone.
The ghost in question? Well, a ghost is life without living. Supposedly, that of someone long-since gone…
I’d argue that “shadow figure” suits this monster for now. There seems as though an appearance is planned, judging by that one glimpse with The Smile, but for now, just glimpses are fine.
Everything else…
Eh, fair enough.
11/21/2023 @Ijustusethistocommentstuff: @palecaptainwolfkayls8499 My thing is it, ironically, falls into the pit Marble Hornets went down, where tension doesn't really build up too much, and then immediately goes to a climax. The whole silent part in the hotel area feels less like a built up horror, but a sudden and brutal shift. I feel like if they built up the hotel's significance, by maybe having it show up more often, with more sightings of the shadow figure, it would make sense that the climax we see in the recent videos would occur, where we finally understand the significance of everything.
11/21/2023 @Bofrab: What I really like is Andrew’s performance. It just feels like someone playing a video game, then suddenly things just starting getting strange. For the most part he doesn’t sound scared in these earlier videos, he just sounds confused. Examples being him seeing something strange, then going “oh yeah Chris built this I remember now.” This video as well with him seeing the building and being like “Hold on how have I never seen this? This is so close to my house?” Then seeing the well again and being like “Nope. Not doing this.” It just feels so real to me.
I also love the video quality. The fact that the settings are turned down makes it so hard to tell if there is something in the backround, or if the video is just being blurry. It’s so good!

11/21/2022 @andrewgaming677: That’s an interesting theory. At this point, if I want to make any progress, I might as well do something to one of the wells. Im pretty sure that there are more wells than bones right now though, so maybe im missing some? Or one at least? Chris had a lot of quirks. He played games very specifically, but that’s why I enjoyed playing with him. I can’t think of any specifics but he typically was very unorthodox to say the least.

I remember a video of a man in Gmod playing on a Minecraft map and going to investigate a house with a helicopter crash in or next to it. When he left there was a jumpscare right out the door. Idk. Freaky stuff like this brings me back and it's honestly so cool to see creepy playthroughs and things that aren't quite right. Thanks for uploading.

my assumption is that chris ended up passing away and his remains are buried at the bottom of the wells (due to the signs saying ''a dark damp tomb'' (damp most likely referring to wells)
what exactly made chris pass away? its probably the dark entity thats stalking andrew (evidence of this is due to the ''recurring nightmares'' sign that was presumably written by chris, meaning that he himself knew that something was wrong and that he was getting hunted by something)
some more evidence that chris' remains have been ''split'' are the fact that bones are scattered in furnaces, which would indicate atleast some dismemberment
