I have an incredible fear that Andrew and Chris formed a suicide pact. Chris planned on drowning himself in a well, and Andrew planned to jump off a building.
The thing is that Andrew never went through with it. He feels guilty about it, and with Chris gone, he pretends to not know why Chris is offline.
Trauma could cloud the brain and completely remove memories, or at least hide them.
Something here in this show, a character, an entity, is trying to make Andrew move on, but also have him remember something.
I could be completely wrong, or partially wrong. I don’t know. It’s just a theory.
Perhaps Chris left bones in his Minecraft game before committing suicide so as to leave a part of himself behind before taking off. That could, in theory, explain the supernatural presence in the game Andrew still has access to.

07/21/2024 @Poloxiety: Someone else mustve made the towers, as chris dissapeared 6 months ago or something, its not possible to have created it, plus, there are 2 seperate entities, the smiler, and the dark one, one mustve created it, maybe, chris drowned, and hes one of these entities, the other one also drowned, and he built this before chris came. If my theory is correct, then note, i havent seen the series, just the thumbnails and the names, so im geussing off of what ive seen.

He is denying that Chris is dead as he held on to Chris and his own memories.
He wore a tuxedo which indicates his denial. If we think about Minecraft as a dream where we had where creativity has no limits. He will be in denial due to the implied death of his friend, Chris.
Andrew wants us to make him to stay for eternity, to be with Chris again.
We want him to leave and move on.
Now he left the towers. He will try to move on.
We chose him to move on and just leave the tower. If he never moved on, he will be trapped in his own grief.
His fate would be inevitable, but if we let him to move on from the past. He will be at peace now.
That is my theory about AndrewGaming67.
