This video may provide evidence for that theory: "someone" (who is later revealed to be mark101) says "a floating paradise" "turned into a dragon". The floating paradise could be the Sky Dimension, and the dragon is the ender dragon. "preying on the purple eyes" could refer to the Endermen, who have purple eyes.
